KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — The Central Brigade of the General Operations Force (GOF) seized scheduled waste or electrical and electronic waste (e-waste) worth RM721 million in raids carried out in Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor on Saturday (February 15).
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — Business premises which produce scheduled waste are required to register in the Electronic Schedule Waste Information System (eSWIS), to enable the Department of Environment (DOE) to track the process of disposing of the waste.
SHAH ALAM, Sept 21 — A chemical factory located at the Sungai Puloh Industrial Estate, Klang near here, was compounded RM10,000 by the Selangor Department of Environment (DOE) yesterday, for breaching regulations on the management of its scheduled waste.
PUTRAJAYA, Aug 20 — Selangor has recorded the highest amount of scheduled and clinical wastes in 2019 with 1.019 million tonnes and 7,343 tonnes, respectively, the Environment Statistics 2020 revealed.
